WILL WRIGHT OF THE SIMS SIGNS TV DEAL

Reuters/Hollywood Reporter states that Will Wright, the creator of The Sims and Sim City, has signed a TV deal with Fox. According to the article, "Wright said there are a lot of things that he has learned in creating original franchises for interactive entertainment that he can apply to linear entertainment." In other words, he's looking to take concepts from games and apply them to TV, and is quoted as saying "'I think there are ways to get a deeper level of creative input from an audience of a TV show... I'd like to explore ways to connect the loop between a show and its audience, going beyond the current methods of phoning in a vote.'"
