The Mall of the SIMS is a fan support website for "The SIMS", a game created by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. We provide our users "affectionately named shoppers" with an experience unlike any other for their game. To "go to the mall" and "shop" for their favorite downloadable add-ons for this game such as Walls, Floors, Houses, Objects, and Skins. These add-ons are made by "Store Owners" and are submitted to their stores.

The stores are a wide variety of two general types of stores. There are individually run stores that spotlight the more dedicated artists that submit their content, as well as stores that offer collections of submissions from the Sims community. Individual store owners are given access to our intuitive browser-based uploading software, giving them access to upload content on a 24/7 basis! They are easily able to display their Sims creations as part of the collective "MOTS Stores", while maintaining a "personal touch" that follows their store's "theme" or "genre".

The content within the "MOTS Stores" here at the Mall of the Sims is only available through our premium MOTS Subscription service. We still offer several other resources (Club MOTS, MOTS TV, Tutorials, Etc.) at no charge, and the revenues earned from the subscriptions are re-invested in the site in the form of additional services, software and hardware upgrades, and the continued costs of bandwidth (the measurement of data transferred from this site to the end-user).

Our "Club MOTS" area is a message board. It's a place that over 10,000 members as of Jan. 2001 have called home at one time or another. We strive to keep our "community" at Club MOTS safe and clean for members of all ages!

Our message forums play host to kids of ALL AGES from around the world! Keeping this important fact in mind, we are also dedicated to monitoring the forums and making sure no "funny stuff" is going on. All of our public access forums are moderated by at least two of our "Forum-Masters" (Moderators) and are checked frequently for any violations of our rules.
